Neck Area

The cross sectional area (sq ft) of the duct at the point where the diffuser is attached.

Neck Velocity

Air flow rate (cfm) divided by the neck area (sq ft) = neck Velocity

Velocity Pressure

The pressure (inches WG) corresponding to the neck velocity at standard air density.

Air Pattern

The 700 series has two positions for fixing of the removable cores to give cross ceiling or downward air distribution.

Throw

Throw values are based on isothermal air. Maximum throw value (ft) shown on chart is based on 75fpm terminal velocity. Centre throw value is based on a 100fpm terminal velocity. Minimum throw value is based on a 150fpm terminal velocity. NB: 150fpm terminal velocity yeilds a room velocity in the ossupied zone of approx.35fpm.

Total Pressure

The sum of Static Pressure plus Velocity Pressure is given in inches WG with OBD in full open position.

NC Sound Data

Ratings are based on a room Attenuation of 18 decibles (RE 10 watts) and a Room Attenuation of 8 decibles when 10 watts is used as reference.
